Back In Action

Last week was rough. My daughter loaned me her germs which completely wiped me out for three days. As a result, I had to cancel my participation in the Edgy Art Show. Hopefully I'll get invited next year and be able to make up for my absence. It looks like everyone made some really cool stuff and had lots of fun.

Moving forward, I'm all systems go on Zach Mayberry's music video for "Snow Covered Mountains." Everything is looking good and I only need to render a few more drawings before I start compositing the final cut.

A Great Run

Congratulations to the Stephen F. Austin men's basketball program on a historic season. I'm sad that your run has ended but so proud everything you accomplished this season. Most of all, best wishes to seniors Nikola Gajic, Deshaunt Walker and Desmond Haymon.

UPDATE - Who wants a free music video

UPDATE 9:00pm - Zach Maberry has tentatively agreed to allow me to take a crack at one of his songs. I'm super-excited, check out his music:

I have a really cool concept and visual technique for a music video and I'd love to give it away.

I'm doing the production work as a participant in the Edgy Art Show later this month. I'll be creating an animation with a watercolor technique and I would love to use an original song (any genre) by a local songwriter as inspiration for the work.

If you're interested please contact me ASAP and I can describe the aesthetic in more detail. If you know someone who might be interested please forward this information to them. Did I mention it's free?

You can reach me by email, or message me through Facebook.

March 4th Primary Election - Angelina County

Vote time! I appreciate the Lufkin Daily News posting YouTube videos of the candidate forum, allowing me to hear the candidates positions without the formality of wearing pants (me and my pants, not them and their pants).

Has anyone experienced any problems with the new voter ID law? My drivers license address does not match my voter registration. I wonder if that will be an issue?

Guest Lecture - New Media

Screen capture from my Keynote presentation.

I'd like to give a big thank you to Dr. Linda Bond in the Department of Mass Communication at Stephen F. Austin State University for inviting me to guest lecture in her new media class. I'll be discussing web design fundamentals with a focus on color and typography. The action happens today at 1:00 PM in Boynton 209.
